newport beach offices

In this project we worked with DGA Architects and an in house design team fine tuning the offices for a large Southern California furniture dealership. These offices also double as a product showroom.

In the design, service spaces and private offices were grouped at the building’s core and nearby fire stairs while leaving a large open office area along the building perimeter, in order to maximize light and create a large flexible loft-like space for changing displays of furnishings and furniture systems.

The extremely tall existing 19’ exposed ceiling contributes to the spacious feeling of this open office area. To maintain that feeling and to avoid cluttering up the ceiling, a suspended grid was created in order to organize various electrical, cable, fire alarm and lighting systems.

In the Lobby area, we developed an iconic 3 dimensional lighting element that serves as a focal point.  This 12’ diameter suspended cylinder defines a seating area of the lobby below, while also providing a landmark and reference point in the open office area.
